A sus 83 a\u00f1os, el consistorio la eligi\u00f3 para recibir este a\u00f1o, en el marco de las fiestas de San Isidro, un homenaje en representaci\u00f3n de los mayores de la villa. \u00abEstoy contenta y emocionada. Aqu\u00ed nos conocemos todos y no he parado de recibir felicitaciones\u00bb, asegur\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ayer, la corporaci\u00f3n la recogi\u00f3 en su casa y la acompa\u00f1\u00f3 hasta la iglesia, desde donde arranc\u00f3 la procesi\u00f3n. Portaron a San Isidro Fran Jaso, Miguel Fern\u00e1ndez, Mike Lakabe y Juan de Carlos, y Joaqu\u00edn Garc\u00eda llev\u00f3 la cruz parroquial. Tras la misa, y desde el balc\u00f3n del consistorio, la homenajeada vio c\u00f3mo bailaban para ella dos valses los gigantes, un <em>aurresku<\/em> los dantzaris, y tocaba una pieza la banda. Se congregaron aqu\u00ed m\u00e1s de 500 vecinos. A continuaci\u00f3n, el alcalde, Paco Enguita, le entreg\u00f3 un cuadro con el escudo de Aoiz y un ramo de flores. fiestas de San Isidro de este fin de semana, a una nueva pareja de gigantes txikis. Representan dos antiguos oficios. La figura masculina es un piquero (ayudaban con su pica a bajar por el r\u00edo la madera de los bosques del Irati), y la femenina, una pelaire (trabajo con pieles de animales que estuvo muy extendido en Aoiz). Portan hoy los gigantes txikis once vecinos de 13 a 15 a\u00f1os: Jon Torrea, Asier S\u00e1nchez, Mikel Otano, Mikel Polo, Gorka Sola, Patxi Zia, Xabier Dendarieta, Alejandro Rebollo, Julen Larrea, Ibai Barricart y Joel Cos\u00edn. Asimismo, se ha estrenado un <em>zaldiko<\/em> llamado Otzaburu, en memoria de un caballo agoizko que lleg\u00f3 a despertar el inter\u00e9s de la realeza navarra. Todos son obra del pamplon\u00e9s Aitor Calleja Unzu. Se suman a una comparsa que ya estaba integrada por 6 gigantes, 2 txikis, 7 cabezudos y 25 portadores.
